If You're in the Ithaca area, or just want to go there...

Love the Least is Coming to Ithaca! Have you ever wondered what the Bible has to say about  abortion? How should we as God's people respond? Is abortion really such a big deal? Is there anything I can do about it anyway? These are the kind of tough questions that "Love the Least" attempts to answer in an evening of worship and education.

"Love the Least" is an outreach of Abort73.com designed to educate people, especially high school and college students, and equip them to have a biblically-informed response to the tragedy of abortion. A group of area youth is working to bring "Love the Least" to Ithaca, NY. The goal is to fill Sage Chapel at Cornell on April 4th, 2009 at 7:00pm. Abort73.com directors, Michael Spielman and Jeffery Jones, will be coming from Rockford, IL with the band Soul Satisfied, to lead the worship and present the teaching. Their goal, as Michael says, is for people to come to understand abortion not as a political issue or a social issue but as a "love your neighbor" issue. We are called to love abortion vulnerable children and their mothers. We are commanded to seek justice and rescue those being led to death. We must heed the sober words found in Micah 6:8: He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. We are children of God. Let us do what is right and just. Let's love the least.

If you are interested in coming out for this event or making a donation please contact us. We are more than willing to host people coming from a distance. Donations will go toward our $4,000 dollar goal. Our expenses include publicity (fliers, posters, newspaper ads etc.) travel costs for the two speakers and six band members, sound equipment rental, and a love offering for the Abort73 ministry.
