Boy, am ever I glad I'm not in the spotlight so my failures can't be scrutinized or what? When all of us line our lives up against the holiness of God, we all will come up short. (Even Mark Hall and Carrie Underwood!) It's what grace is all about.

I believe Carrie makes strides to live for God. She loves her family and she loves her friends and given the amount of fame she has, she's not in tabloids as often as others who claim Christ yet don't live it.

If you listen to her new album, she wrote a beautiful song called "Temporary Home" which was inspired by a Purpose-Drive Bible study she recently did with her boyfriend. She's made trips to Africa and she's given of her time and resources to help AIDS orphans. Her version of "I'll Stand By You" is one of the most heart-wrenching Gospel-filled songs I've ever heard.

For every song that her record label has released that will make THEM more money, she has songs about perseverance and looking towards God that never get heard by anyone but those who've bought her albums.

Her life is more than just those two songs on the radio you've mentioned and the handful of photos you've seen. Be glad your life isn't on display so you can be judged and ridiculed for not appearing to love God.
