Chris' Page

What was the first Christian album that you bought or where given?
Petra Praise: The Rock Cries Out and dcTalk's Nu Thang. These 2 cd's along with my dad sharing the gospel with me played a part in me coming to know Christ.

What was the most influential person in your life during your High School years?
My youth pastor

How hard is it to manage your life on the road vs. your life at home?
I have 2 kids under the age of 4, so you can imagine how crazy, yet fun it is for my wife and I.

What is the funniest thing that has happened you while on the road with Casting Crowns?
Probably one of the funniest moments for me was when I jumped off a drum riser and my knees buckled as a I landed and I kind of rolled completely around the drum set while still playing. I bruised my wrist, but man it was hilarious!!!

Who is your favorite super hero?
It's a 3-way tie between Wolverine, Spider-man, and Batman.

Who is your current favorite musical artist/group? Why?
My current favorite group is Demon Hunter. I love Demon Hunter! A fun unknown fact about me is that I love metal. Demon Hunter is unashamedly a Christian metal band. Their music is amazing, their lyrics are poetically and spiritually sound and they are amazing in concert. Need I say more?

What is a largely unknown skill that one of the other Crowns member that should be shared with everyone?
Juan is an awesome videographer/film editor. We filmed some videos for a sermon series on dating using inspiration from Napoleon Dynamite and it is almost a sequel to the original movie. Yeah, he's that good!

What is the best advice someone has given you about working with youth groups?
Often times more ministry happens on the way to do ministry. Mark mentions this sometimes at youth pastor talkbacks at summer festivals and it always reminds me to stay in check with being a Christ-like example in and out of season.

Who do you enjoy following on Twitter?
One of my favorite tv shows has a Twitter. Man Vs. Food!! Follow him @ManVFood.

If you weren’t in Casting Crowns, what would you be doing now?
Still playing music in church, and looking for a job the rest of the time.

I'll get right to the point this time, Addison Road's new album "Stories" is not just a record of great music.  Each song has a unique story to tell, everything from redemption (Change in the Making) to our witness in the world (This Little Light of Mine).  Addison Road is no doubt a talented group of songwriters and musicians,...

6.26 | Cd Review #6, A record with real heart.
Hey everyone!!       It has been a little while, but it's time for another cd review.  There are records that meet the standard for an artists sound and message, and then there are some records that are totally above and beyond that standard.  The 5 men of Sanctus Real have made a record that sets itself apart from all previous ones, "Pieces of a Real Heart."  I have to warn you that...

5.21 | Cd review #5, southern soul rock.
Hey errbody, Chuffy is back after a 3 week time off from the tour. Thank you to everyone who came out and sang to Jesus with us. I'm sitting in my house with my 2 girls and the baby daughter of a good friend right now. This has been a great month of rest and relaxation from traveling. I built a playground for my daughters and I'm about to start landscaping my backyard, so even though I've been relaxing, I've still been busy at home. We hit...

Hey everyone!!I hope you have enjoyed beginning a new year of life. I'd like to look back on the last year and just take a few moments to reflect on things. Please join me, won't you? This time last year, we were in Australia and New Zealand, somewhere I definitely want to return to.  About 2 weeks after we got back, my wife and I had been confirmed by her doctor that we were having another baby.  Shortly after that, Andy Williams went...
