Hey errbody!!

I know I'm a white redneck from Kentucky living in Georgia, but I gotta get my rap music on every so often.  I'll try not to embarrass anyone by using hip-hop lingo, so without further adieu, our cd this week is {Rebel} from Lecrae,  a very talented artist that preaches Christ in every way he can say it in his songs.  It's really hard to sum up the impact each song has on me, let alone the entire record.  I love music that is great and has a solid message to go with it, and Lecrae is a great example of both.  Every song is a sermon in itself, like the song "Identity" talks about how material things don't make us who we are, Christ does.  One of my personal favorite songs is "Indwelling Sin" where Lecrae is faced with temptation on his way to the store to get an energy drink and the beat fades in and he confronts the temptation, which is cleverly done by Lecrae with a sinister-sounding effect of his voice to get the point across that the old life is still around trying to trip us up.  To really just sum it up, you need to get this album!!!!  It's a great message in every song, great music, and you can bob your head to it.  My dad takes Lecrae's cd's to work and plays it with everyone else's loud music, and it gets their attention because they can't believe it's christian music.  Music is one of the easiest ways to open the door to share Christ with someone, I encourage you to do that!!!  Don't let the enemy scare you away from being vocal about Christ!!  Thanks for reading and until next blog, much love.  Peace out!!!!  Phil. 4:8
