We are really appreciative of all the encouragement that we have received. Thank you for the prayers and the adoptions stories.
I wanted to share a little more with you about Hope because some of you have asked. She had some very serious medical problems from birth and was found at the entrance to the Emergency Room of the Childrens Hospital in Nanjing City in Jiangsu Province. Doctor's determined that she was 2 days old when they found her. Her parents obviously cared for her and wanted her to get the best care. The hospital took good care of her and then she was transferred to an orphanage not long after she was found.
We received a health update about her recently that says she has grown a little and her "overall health" is good. Not sure what that means. But we are praying that God protect her from sickness, disease, and harm, just like we pray for our other 3 children.

Hi Melanie! Your recent posts have been emotional for me. We also have a daughter named Hope who we met in southern China in June 2007. She is absolutely the light of our lives. We are so in love. I don't know what kind of adoption network you have, but I have met some amazing (did I say AMAZING?) mothers and families in this process. God's blessings to you as you near travel. You're going to have an incredible trip. China is gorgeous...drink in as much of the culture as you can while you're there.
Here is a quick little tidbit...we are going to be at the CC concert in St. Paul, MN on April 11 and Hope will be joining us. She is so excited to be attending her first concert!

I was just reading about Hope . We have three daughters adopted from China . They are now 9,10 and 12 , we also have 4 grown children and 5 grandchildren . God has blessed us so very much .. I am still in awe that He called us to raise a second family . It looks like we are starting a 4th adoption but due to our ages need a waiver , it is in the Lords hands . My 12 year old and I were at the concert in Newark NJ , it was tremendous . We now have tickets for all of us in State College Pa , 4/14. The girls are beyond excited , Casting Crowns music plays often in our house . We homeschool and there are days I have to turn it off the girls stop concentrating. God Bless , Judy Weniger
