Hi everybody. It's been awhile sinced I blogged and I just want to first say thank you to all of you who have been praying for this whole arthritis thing. God has been teaching me so much about prayer through this. We are still waiting to see if these medicines are really going to work so I still covet your prayers.
Ok moving on...I want to do a video blog about the violin. I will be giving pointers on how to play correctly so that you don't hurt yourself over time, showing how to play some of our songs, talking about the violin in worship, among other things. So stay tuned if you are interested in any of those things.

Just tonight I was wondering how your arthritis was doing as I listened to Altar & the Door Live. I just logged onto the site and here you have a blog about it! Will continue to keep you in my prayers. Although I don't play an instrument I will enjoy seeing how it is done. See ya in State College!

It's amazing that your doing this. I have always wanted to play the violin. My heart has always been there. I help lead a praise and worship team where I attend church and having the violin there in our services would be amazing. I am going to pray that God shows me what he wants me to do in this area because sometimes it can be what we want and not what God wants. I think Casting Crowns is abrolutely amazing. Thank you all so for much for blessing us.
i myself play the viola. i am just a begginer but i'm getting there. I always listen to your songs and see if i can play along . you have av amazing talent. keep using it to praise the lord.
Melodee, you are awesome at the violin. How long have you been playing? I've been playing for about 5 1/2 years, and I am playing Bach's 'Gavotte'. It was totally God helping me learning this. I got it, and At first, I couldn't play it at all,(back in December) and now I have it memorized.
P.S. can you guys come do a concert somewhere close to Scranton P.A.?

I don't know how you do it all especially with the arthritis. I have psoriasis and I know the issues that accompany that let alone playing the violin and traveling and taking care of 2 children with arthritis! You are amazing and continue to give your troubles to the Lord and he will continue to provide. If we offer our pain and suffering to the Lord, he will reward us.

You are one of the strongest, most compassionate woman I have even met in my life. You are SOO caring towards others that sometimes people dont see what you go through on a daily basis. The pain and discomfort you endur each and every day is something that NONE of us can imagine, yet, you live your life with a smile and dont ask why...we can all learn a HUGE lesson from you. I started playing the violin, but put it aside so my son could take piano lessons. I love the violin and cello and can't wait to hear your tips and thoughts on these beautiful instruments. Seeing them used by skillful players as yourself is inspiring and keeps it alive in me until I can get back into lessons.

I'm SO excited that you'll be sharing your thoughts on the violin! I took lessons for about 12 years and hadn't played for about 12 years. I recenlty started playing violin for my church and felt kind of clueless since I'm used to playing classical music. I haven't listened to you guys much, but I think I've already learned a lot from listening to you. I'm just getting started playing violin for my church's worship team and listening to your stuff really helps. I've enjoyed your works as long as I've listened to them. My brother is helping me a little, and it's really helping!
