Should we ask for God to give us wisdom. Ex: God I need wisdom to handle this situation. Or should we say God help me to develop wisdom? Ex: Please help me to make a wise choice.

Absolutely Ben! James is talking about having the ability (wisdom) to make wise decisions in difficult circumstances. Pray to God for wisdom and he will supply exactly what we need!

This morning i woke up at 5am, to get my day started, so far the month of October for me has been a collection of trails, from my Liver giving me problems to my study notes washing away in a small flood. And this morning, i walked out to my car and put the key in and turned, only to find my car would not start. And in all of this i was getting so mad with God, and blaming Him, Then I turned on this video, and it hit me (again) Its not about my situation, but my relationship with God. I like to think of God as a presence and once again i felt it, Thanks so much for theses videos they are a blessing.

Thank you Mark for doing this study. You can't imagine how much just the past two days have helped me. The fact that you took youth leaders aside at your concert & gave these tools to all of us will make such an incredible difference. I have a HUGE trial right now and you opened my eyes in understanding. "Already There" has carried me through this trial..knowing HE already is there!

I just want to thank you for your heart for youth ministry! I was at the Jackson Ms concert & was highly encouraged by what you talked about & encouraged the youth leaders. I work with our youth, I really do step out & include them in my every day life, it isn't just a Sunday night youth meeting type of thing and I have met with many quite a bit to talk & pray for them outside of Church. However, I had never set out to really disciple them one on one, not with reading the word & really talking to them like you encouraged us. So as of jan 2012 I am starting a weekly meeting with 1, not 3... I can't do 3 youth a week but I KNOW I can do one. We are going to start on your James Bible Study!! I hope you do more like these, so far they seem great! I really appreciate you going beyond your group, beyond your area of life to outreach like this! God Bless

Found out about your Book of James Bible Study during your concert in Raleigh on March 9th, 2012. Anyway, started listening to your videos and got a ESV bible to follow. How come yours said "perseverance" and mine said "steadfastness" when it is the same Bible?(v3) Is there a revision already?

Have been studying the last few days for our Connect Group lesson this week on Being A Lazy Christian. As I sat down at the table this morning to finalize my thoughts, God was directing me to change my plans and lead the lesson from James 1:2-4...Trials vs Temptations.

As I started studying this passage I decided to search some thoughts on my IPAD, and came across this video lesson...which I thought was very good.

But here is the cool part, an hour or so later as I was still studying, Emma, our middle child came walking through the house singing "....I will praise you in this storm...

She said that song was on her heart/mind...pretty neat to see how God is always at work.
